We Only Take Cake Orders Online
Cake orders at Goldie's are taken exclusively through our website. Our in-store team can't take cake orders over the counter or by phone, so heading online is the way to go. It takes just a few minutes, and you'll have everything confirmed in writing before you leave your couch.
Why Order Your Cake Online?
Life's busy. And while our in-store staff are amazing at what they do — making great coffees and delivering great food — they aren't bakers. Trying to describe your dream cake over the counter isn't the best way to get it right. Ordering online means you can:
- Take your time choosing the details
- Place your order at any hour, without needing to call during business hours
- Have a written record of exactly what you ordered
For custom cakes especially, the online process makes it easier to get the details right the first time.
What Kind of Cakes Can You Order?
Goldie's specialises in custom celebration cakes for every occasion — birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, graduations, you name it. Every cake is made to order, which means it's made specifically for you, not pulled off a shelf.
When you order, you'll share the details that matter: the colour scheme, flavours, size, and any design direction. Our team takes it from there.
How the Online Ordering Process Works
Ordering your custom cake from Goldie's is straightforward:
Step 1 — Browse our cake range and choose your flavour or style Start at goldiesbakeshop.com.au/collections/cakes and pick the cake that's right for your occasion. Not sure? Browse by flavour or style and go from there — if you see something you love, that's your starting point.
Step 2 — Fill in your order details Once you've chosen your cake, personalise it — size, icing and piping colours, filling, message, and decorations. Just click the boxes to make your selections, and as you build your cake, more options will appear to guide you through the choices.
Step 3 — Complete your order and payment online Select your preferred pickup store at checkout, then pay securely through our website. Once your order is locked in, you'll receive a confirmation email with all the details.
Step 4 — Pick up your cake Come in to your chosen store, give us your name or order number, and we'll take it from there. Your cake will be boxed and ready by 8am on your collection day — and for Sunday pickups, it'll be ready from the moment we open.
Simple. No back-and-forth. No phone tag.
What Does It Cost?
No hidden pricing, no surprises at checkout. Our pricing is fully transparent and updates in real time as you build your cake.
Every cake starts at the smallest size by default, so you'll see the base price straight away. As you click through your choices — size, fillings, decorations — the price adjusts automatically so you always know exactly where you're at. If an add-on has an extra cost, you'll see it clearly shown on that option (for example, + $35.00) before you select it.
How Far in Advance Should You Order?
For most celebration cakes, we recommend ordering at least 2 days in advance — but keep in mind our cut-off is 11am. So if you want a cake for Saturday, Thursday at 11am is your last chance to get your order in.
A few exceptions to know about:
- Allergen-friendly cakes — 5 days notice required
- Drip cakes — 3 days notice required
- Multi-tier or intricate designs (wedding cakes etc.) — the more lead time the better
Peak periods like school holidays, Christmas, Easter, and long weekends fill up fast, so if you have a date locked in, don't leave it to the last minute.
