Baking Memories Since 1944
It started with a small shop on Roma Street, Brisbane — a humble bakery called the Busy Bee Cake Shop, founded by European immigrants with a deep love for traditional baking and a belief that good food brings people together. That was 1944. Over eighty years later, that same belief still drives everything we do.
From Brisbane to the Gold Coast
What began as a single shopfront grew into something much bigger. Today Goldie's Bake Shop has eight retail stores and a production bakehouse across the Gold Coast, with over 80 staff baking fresh every single day. We're one of the region's longest-running bakeries.
Our Way of Baking
Some of our recipes haven't changed since the beginning. We're not going to tell you which ones — but if you've been eating Goldie's pies or cakes for years, you already know. We use quality Australian ingredients, bake from scratch at our Helensvale Bakehouse, and deliver fresh to every store. No shortcuts. No outsourcing. Just proper baking, the way it's always been done.
