Every cake on our menu is hand-baked at our Helensvale Bakehouse by bakers who've spent years perfecting their craft, then sent out to one of our 9 Gold Coast stores for you to pick up. We don't outsource and we don't cut corners. What you order is what we bake — to your size, your flavour, and your occasion.

Our most popular flavours

Our sponge cakes are the workhorse of Gold Coast birthdays — light, fluffy, vanilla or chocolate, with optional fillings and your choice of decoration. Our chocolate mud cakes are the indulgent option — dense, rich, and made the proper way for serious chocolate lovers. Photo cakes put any image you upload onto the top of the cake with edible printing, perfect for the kids' birthday or a surprise retirement party. Drip cakes add a touch of theatre with a contrasting ganache drip down the sides — a favourite for hens nights, milestone birthdays and weddings. And love heart cakes are our current cult favourite — anniversaries, Valentine's, or the "just because" cake that makes someone's week.

Allergen-friendly options

We do a proper job of gluten-free cakes, egg-free cakes and dairy-free cakes — not as an afterthought, but as a real menu option for guests with dietary needs. Just give us at least 5 days' notice so we can prep with care. A quick note: while these cakes are made without dairy, gluten or eggs, they're prepared in a kitchen that handles all allergens, so they're not suitable for severe allergies. If you're after a vegan-friendly cake, our egg-free dairy-free range fits the bill.

How far in advance to order

The earlier, the better! We ask for 48 hours’ notice for all cake orders and five days for allergen friendly cakes (gluten free, egg & diary free). For weekend pickups, make sure to order by 11am Friday. If you place an order over the weekend for Monday pickup, it’ll be available from our Helensvale Bakehouse only.

Orders placed over the weekend for Monday pickup are collected from our Head Office in Helensvale. From Coomera to Coolangatta and everywhere in between, there's a Goldie's nearby ready to hand over your perfectly baked cake.
