At the 2026 Australia's Best Pie & Pastie Competition, held by the Baking Association of Australia at the Gold Coast Turf Club on 16–18 June, Goldie's took home Gold — and we didn't stop there.
Here's exactly how we went:

What Is Australia's Best Pie & Pastie Competition?
Run by the Baking Association of Australia, this is the national title for bakeries across the country. Entries are judged cold and then again hot — so there's nowhere to hide. Experienced, respected judges score everything from pastry to filling to overall presentation.
Thousands of dollars in prizes are on the line, but more importantly, it's the most credible benchmark in the Australian baking industry. Winning here means something.
Our Gold-Winning Plain Mince Pie
The classic.
A plain mince pie is the hardest category to win because every judge knows exactly what it should taste like. The pastry has to be right. The filling has to be seasoned properly. The balance has to be spot on.
Ours was. Gold.
We've been making this pie the same way because we believe the classics deserve respect. This result tells us we've been on the right track.
Four Silvers That Speak for Themselves
Winning one medal is luck. Winning five across five different categories is not.
Our Chunky Plain Beef and Traditional Pastie silvers prove our fundamentals are strong — these are the categories every serious bakery enters. Competing against the best in Australia and placing second is something we're incredibly proud of.
The Cheesymite Pie and Brisket Jalapeño & Cheese silvers show our more adventurous range holds up too. These aren't gimmicks — they're proper pies that happen to push the flavour envelope. Judges agreed.
